About Me
Growing up as a dual citizen of the U.S. and Iran while facing severe physical and neurological challenges, I understood the pain of feeling like an outsider. These experiences shaped my perspective and influenced my career as a Registered Nurse, allowing me to connect deeply with vulnerable patients using warmth, curiosity, and humor.
Though I enjoyed my nearly seven years in healthcare, I longed for deeper connections with my patients. Simultaneously, I sought therapy for issues related to my identity and core shame. However, traditional psychotherapy left me feeling disappointed and disconnected, as the therapists seemed passive and unable to provide the support I needed.
These experiences inspired me to become a therapist who remains engaged, informed, and human, offering a more active and empathetic approach to help others navigate their complex identities and emotions
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from San Francisco State University and a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology from Pacific University. I have experience providing therapy for adults from various backgrounds of ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, and socioeconomic status. My support is most often sought by clients who identify as multicultural, LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, neurodivergent folx, and anyone who feels like an "outsider" or who doesn't fit neatly into any category.
